BWCB Breakaway Brass

BWCB Breakaway Brass is a very friendly and enthusiastic group of brass players, most of whom also play in our Wind Bands.

BWCB Breakaway Brass July25

BWCB Breakaway Brass enjoy's playing a variety of music that caters for most abilities and tastes including traditional marches, music from films and shows, and typical brass band pieces. We have several regular engagements at Christmas and in the summer playing in Care Homes, Housing Developments, Fetes, and Bandstands. We use fees from these to buy music and subsidise term fees, so that our members can afford to play in other BWCB bands as well, if they so wish.

Many of us take the opportunity in the spring to join with other small, local brass bands to perform in the annual ‘Big and Brassy’ workshop and concert. We also arrange our own concert in the Baptist Church during the year as a thank you and as outreach into Crowthorne and the wider community, hoping to interest young people to take up playing an instrument or even encourage players to join us.

We are always looking for new players aged 19 to 99 in all sections of the band. Come and join us for a trial evening and you will be made most welcome. We stop mid-rehearsal for coffee/tea and biscuits!

Contact: BWCB Website or BreakawayBrass@outlook.com, or simply come to a rehearsal.
