Bracknell and Wokingham Community Band
Liquorice Allsorts
Within BWCB there are a number of ensembles. Members of BWCB
can join an ensemble if there is a suitable vacancy.
BWCB Liquorice Allsorts is a clarinet octet formed in 2011, and comprises
soprano, bass and contrabass clarinets. Our extensive, varied repertoire includes
well known classics, arrangements from musicals, easy listening pieces and old
time musical hall sing-alongs. Accordingly, we are able to tailor our
performance programmes to meet the tastes of our recipient audiences. We
regularly perform in the community, in formal concerts, shopping centres,
National Trust properties, day centres for the elderly, care homes, nursing
homes and schools. We have competed in Woodley Music Festival and have
played in their end-of-Festival Concert. Our performances include formal
concerts in St Mary’s Church Shinfield and Canons Ashby Church (National
Trust). We also performed in Windsor Royal Shopping Centre for the Platinum
Jubilee celebrations and were honoured to be able to play for the people of
Wokingham during the national period of mourning in September 2022.
Membership of Liquorice Allsorts by invitation only.
